Marquette University Police Department maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.
The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances.
The following activities have been reported to the Marquette University Police Department. While the department has begun investigation into these incidents, information may not have been verified as accurate or factual at the time of this report. The Department and area law enforcement agencies continue to investigate these activities and may provide supplemental information to our community as appropriate.

24-008172 Arson of Building without Owner’s Consent; Occurred and reported on Mon., 4/29/24 at 10:55 a.m. A non-MU subject intentionally set fire to flammable materials, in a trash can, inside a MU owned building located in the 1100 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue. The fire was extinguished with a fire extinguisher. No injuries were reported. The subject was later taken into custody by MUPD.

24-007476 Age 17-20 Possess/Consume Alcoholic Beverage; A non-MU juvenile subject was intoxicated, vomiting and unable to stand or walk on their own. The subject was staying with their sibling, who is a MU student, in the 700 block of N. 17th Street. The juvenile subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation along with their sibling. Both subjects were issued citations for underage consumption of alcohol.

24-001104 Substantial Battery; Occurred on Thur., 01/18/2024 at 5:00p.m. Reported on Thur., 01/18/2024 at 7:43p.m. An unknown subject intentionally and without consent battered a non-MU victim at a business located in the 800 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue causing them pain. The victim left the scene and checked themselves into Froedtert Hospital and contacted MUPD. Froedtert treated and released the victim. MUPD transported and released the victim to a location of their choice. This is an ongoing investigation.

Wisconsin Avenue which is a violation of their probation. The subject was taken into custody, transported, and turned over to the Milwaukee Criminal Justice Facility.
24-001033 Loitering or Prowling; Occurred and reported on Thur., 01/18/2024 at 12:03a.m. A non-MU subject was observed looking into vehicles windows and checking doors in the 700 block of N. 21st Street. A routine check revealed that the subject had an outstanding warrant. The subject was booked, provided a new court date, cited, and released.

24-000890 Harassment; Occurred and reported on Tue., 01/16/2024 at 7:24p.m. A MU student reported that a non-MU subject has been making fake accounts and harassing them on social media. This is an ongoing investigation.
24-000934 Battery/Threat to Health Care Facility Worker; Occurred and reported on Wed., 01/17/2024 at 4:36a.m. A non-MU subject locked themselves in a business restroom located in the 1600 block of W. Wells Street requesting a police transport to Aurora Sinai Medical Center. Upon arrival, Aurora Sinai Medical Center the staff refused medical assistance and the subject became disorderly. The subject was then transported and turned over to Mental Health Emergency Center where the subject became combative. The Mental Health Emergency Center will contact MUPD before the subject's release and MUPD will return to arrest and transport it to the Criminal Justice Facility.
24-000952 Juvenile Theft; Occurred and reported on Wed., 01/17/2024 at 7:34a.m. A non-MU juvenile intentionally and without consent removed US currency from a non-MU victim’s wallet from a business located in the 800 block of N. 19th Street. The juvenile was cited and removed along with their parent from the business.

Wells Street causing two non-MU vehicles to crash. The unknown driver fled the scene. Milwaukee Fire Department responded due to passengers stating they felt pain. All passengers declined medical attention. This is an ongoing investigation.
