  • First-Generation College Student Week events

  • Native American Heritage Month events

  • Trans* Compassion Week - November 17-20, 2025

  • Flags in Their Honor Display and Tabling: Monday, November 17 at 10am-12pm on Central Mall near the Raynor Bridge
    • Learn about Trans* Compassion Week at MU and place a flag on the Central Mall to honor trans lives from 10 AM – 12 PM. 
  • Crafts with Counselors: Tuesday, November 18 at 2pm-4pm in the Wellness and Recreation 3rd Floor Multipurpose Room 326
    • Join us in the new Wellness building for "Crafts with Counselors" a collaboration with the Counseling Center and the Office of Inclusion and Belonging. This time we will make pride and power cards. Using a playing card we will create a pride and power card with words, images, and patterns that represent inner strength, power and values. This card can serve as a reminder of who you are, self-love, and joy. 
  • Trans* Day of Remembrance Awareness Tabling: Wednesday, November 19 at 10am-12pm outside the AMU Brew
    • If you missed us on Monday, we will be outside the AMU Brew to share information on Trans Day of Remembrance and the remaining events of the week.
  • Two Spirits Film Screening: Thursday, November 20 at 12pm-1:15pm in the Center for Engagement and Inclusion/AMU 111
    • To celebrate Native American Heritage Month and Trans Compassion Week we are showing the film Two Spirits, which interweaves the story of a mother’s loss of their child with a revealing look into when many Native American cultures held places of honor for people with integrated genders, and the essentially spiritual nature of gender. Lunch (fry bread tacos) will be provided. Content warning due to violence towards the LGBTQ2+ community, and the murder of a Two Spirit youth.
  • Trans* Day of Remembrance Vigil: Thursday, November 20 at 5pm-6:00pm in AMU 227
    • Join us for a solemn vigil honoring those lost to anti-trans violence. It is a time for prayer, reflection, and community. Refreshments provided. All are welcome.

  • Black History Month Events
  • First-Gen Collective: Find Your Flow Mixer, Wednesday, February 11 at 12-1pm in AMU Henke Lounge
    • This event is part of the First-Gen Collective. Enjoy free food and drinks while faculty and staff who were first-generation students share study tips, personal experiences and encouragement to help you stay motivated and confident this semester. All students are welcome; you do not have to be first gen to attend. 
  • Pink Pony Cafe: Thursday, February 19 at 9am-12pm in the Third Floor, Wellness & Helfaer Recreation Building
    • Sponsored by Sodexo, Health Promotion Prevention and Advocacy, Recovery at Marquette, and Office of Inclusion and Belonging

Lavender Celebration of Graduates

Lavender Celebration of Graduates is hosted by the Office of Inclusion and Belonging to celebrate undergraduate, graduate, and professional LGBTQ+ students and allies who are graduating from Marquette University. Lavender Celebration of Graduates 2026 will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 6:15 PM in the Lunda and Henke Rooms in the Alumni Memorial Union (AMU).

Unity Celebration of Graduates

Friday, May 8, 2026

Unity Celebration of Graduates is hosted by the Office of Inclusion and Belonging and celebrates our graduating BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and first-generation students and their journey to graduation at Marquette University. Unity Celebration of Graduates is open to all undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The ceremony will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 4:00pm in the Varsity Theatre.

*We will no longer be handing out stoles at Unity Celebration of Graduates and will move to a unique medallion to mark this special event.*
