  • Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-Off: Orgullo Hispano March 
    • Friday, Sept. 13, 12pm – 12:45pm, starts in front of St. Joan of Arc Chapel  
    • Join the Latin American Student Org (LASO) and the Hispanic/Latinx Employee Resource Group to celebrate Latinx pride on this march around campus! Flags, music and snacks will be provided. 
  • Fiesta de Noche  
    • Saturday, Sept. 14, 6pm – 10pm, Eckstein Commons (east of the AMU) 
    • Fiesta de Noche is a celebration hosted by Sigma Lambda Beta International fraternity Inc. Where we celebrate the beginning of Hispanic heritage. We have entertainment that shows traditional culture, we also have free cultural food and a live DJ.

    • Black women’s joy, often overlooked in narratives focused on struggle, is a powerful act of resistance and a vibrant expression of resilience, self-love and the inherent right to happiness. This event is open to Marquette faculty, staff and students as well as the broader Milwaukee community.  Register online
  • Soup with Substance: Women’s History Month 
    • Wednesday, March 26, Noon - 1 p.m., AMU Lunda Room 
    • Join the Office of Inclusion and Belonging for “Her Story Her Legacy: Women Leaders Share Their Journeys,” a panel discussion. Marquette students will share their stories and journeys as women leaders on campus. A light lunch of soup and bread will be provided. No RSVP is needed. 
  • March Found Family Dinner

    • Join the Office of Inclusion and Belonging for this month’s Found Family Dinner: Defining Found Family. Found family dinners are a space where individuals can come together and bond in community over food and drink and tabletop conversations. No RSVP is needed.

    • Do you have questions or concerns about finding belonging and community when you start a new job? At this event, you'll have the opportunity to connect with professionals from different organizations and representing a variety of employee resource groups (ERG) that support employees who share similar experiences about race/ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation.   • Crafting with Counselors
    • Tuesday, April 29, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the LGBTQ+ Resource Center (AMU 140)
    • Join the LGBTQ+ Resource Center and the Marquette University Counseling Center for our last Crafting with Counselors of the semester! This event will include canvas painting and conversations around mental health, community building, spring intentions, and self-care! Light snacks will be provided! We hope to see you there!
  • Denim Day Showcase
    • Wednesday, April 30, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Weasler Auditorium
    • Join us on Wednesday, April 30 at 7pm in Weasler Auditorium to honor Denim Day with a Showcase of talent from fashion to music and more. Denim Day is recognized on a Wednesday in April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Denim Day is longest-running sexual violence prevention and education campaign in history; Denim Day asks us all to make a social statement and fashion statement by wearing denim on this day as a visible means of protest the misconceptions that surround sexual violence.

  • Lavender Celebration of Graduates 

    • Lavender Celebration of Graduate is hosted by the Office of Inclusion and Belonging to celebrate undergraduate, graduate, and professional LGBTQ+ students and allies who are graduating from Marquette University. Lavender Celebration 2025 will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM in the Lunda and Henke Rooms in the Alumni Memorial Union (AMU). Following the ceremony will be a social reception.

  • Unity Celebration of Graduates

    • Unity Celebration of Graduates is hosted by the Office of Inclusion and Belonging and celebrates our graduating students of color and first-generation students and their journey to graduation at Marquette University. Unity Celebration is open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The ceremony will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 5:30pm in the Varsity Theatre with a reception to follow in the AMU Lunda and Henke Rooms.
