Department of Theatre Arts - Phylis Ravel Scrapbooks
Phylis Ravel was head of the Theatre Arts program from 1997 until her death from cancer on November 6, 2012. Prior to Phylis' death, her colleagues at the Theatre Department reached out to her then current students and alumi to ask if they would write about their time with Phylis as their teacher and director. Connie Petersen collected these letters, written between September - October, 2012, and organized them in a beautiful scrapbook that she designed and constructed. The initial thought was that there would be enough for a single scrapbook. The response was overwhelming, and three scrapbooks were created and given to Phylis about a month before she died.
