Automatic Salary Increase for Faculty Promotions
This policy covers increases in salary base for promotion through the promotion and tenure processes for full-time tenured and tenure track faculty as well as full-time participating faculty will be a percentage of current salary as specified in the following.
Tenured/Tenure-track Faculty
- Associate Professor promoted to Professor will receive a 6.0% increase of current salary.
- Assistant Professor promoted to Associate Professor will receive a 4.0% increase of current salary.
Full-time Participating Faculty
- Full time participating faculty promoted to Professor will receive a 4.25% increase of current salary.
- Full time participating faculty promoted to Associate Professor will receive a 2.5% increase of current salary.
- Full time participating faculty promoted to Assistant Professor will receive a 2.0% increase of current salary.
The promotion salary increase will be effective with the next annual contract and should not be considered as part of an annual raise. Therefore, a raise of at least the pool percentage should be in place for these individuals.
