We are proud to honor the legacy of President Michael R. Lovell, the 24th president of Marquette University with the introduction of the Lovell Scholars program. Top high school scholars and leaders across the country are encouraged to apply to become prestigious Lovell Scholars. Four full scholarships (tuition, food, housing and fees) will be awarded. Recipients will embody what it means to live a life of servant leadership, academic excellence and humility.
The purpose of the Lovell Scholars Program is to recruit and support a cohort of students from across the nation who are grounded in humility, have a record of the highest academic achievement and have demonstrated leadership and service to others. Each scholar will engage in high-impact, co-curricular learning experiences with a designated faculty mentor, designed to foster their development as scholars and servant leaders.
This full-ride scholarship is renewable each year of the recipient’s four-year (eight-semester) undergraduate program, provided the recipient maintains good academic standing and meets program requirements.
Marquette is consistently recognized as a best value in national media such as U.S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review. But there’s more to a Marquette education beyond a great return on your investment. As a Catholic, Jesuit university, we measure success in the hearts and minds of our students, seeking to engage in them a mindset that looks beyond themselves and toward the benefit of others. Men and women for and with others, as we say in our mission, who go into the world ready to Be The Difference.
