Bekir Altas, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Marquette University and Director of the 4-CYTE Collaboratory. Specializing in neuroscience and drug discovery, he leads interdisciplinary research on CNS precision therapeutics, with significant experience in academia and industry (ex-Boehringer Ingelheim) across in vitro/in vivo pharmacology, MedChem, DMPK, AI and computational biology, synthetic biology, and translational neuroscience. Bek holds a B.S. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from METU, and M.Sc. and PhD in Neuroscience from International Max Planck Research School for Neuroscience in Goettingen, Germany.
