Physician Assistant Studies Coursework

Graduates will earn a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree upon successful completion of the PA Program over a period of 28 months.

The PA program follows the Marquette University academic calendar by semester. All required coursework must be completed within these timeframes. See the office of the registrar academic calendar.

Core SCPEs- All students are required to complete one SCPE each in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Family Medicine, Pediatric Medicine, Women's Health, and Behavioral Health

Internal Medicine (Inpatient)- 6 weeks

Emergency Medicine- 6 weeks

Surgery- 6 weeks

Family Medicine- 6 weeks

Pediatric Medicine- 3 or 6 weeks

Behavioral Health 3 or 6 weeks

Women's Health 3 or 6 weeks

PHAS 7986 SCPE Courses- Elective

Elective SCPEs- students will complete 2 or three elective SCPE's

Electives SCPEs are grouped into Adult Medicine, Pediatric Medicine, Adult Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and General Elective

Examples include orthopedics, neurology, plastic surgery, infectious disease, and others
