Center for Psychological Services at Marquette University

The Center for Psychological Services (CPS) at Marquette University is an outpatient mental health clinic and training site for the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program in the Department of Psychology.

Services are provided by doctoral students under the supervision of licensed clinical psychologists who are faculty members in the Department of Psychology.

CPS welcomes clients from all backgrounds and is committed to providing respectful, culturally responsive services.

Please note: CPS is a training clinic for graduate student clinicians. As such, we may not always have the appropriate expertise to treat every presenting concern. If we are unable to meet your clinical needs, we will provide referrals to other clinics in the area that may be a better fit.

Assessment Services

CPS clinicians conduct comprehensive diagnostic and neuropsychological evaluations for children (ages 7 and older) and adults.

We conduct assessments for a variety of issues including, but not limited to:

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Specific Learning Disabilities in reading, writing, and/or math
  • Executive Functioning Challenges
  • Depressive Disorders
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

**Please note that CPS does not currently conduct Autism evaluations or court-ordered evaluations.

What does the assessment process look like?

Assessments typically take place over several in-person sessions, during which clients meet with one of our CPS clinicians to complete clinical interviews and standardized evaluation measures.

At the conclusion of the evaluation process, the clinical findings are presented to the client during a feedback session, and a written report summarizing the assessment results and recommendations is typically provided.

NOTE: All assessment and therapy services are video recorded for supervision purposes.
