Assistant Professor, Management

Rachel Hahn teaches organizational behavior and leadership in Marquette’s undergraduate and graduate programs. She cultivates an engaging learning experience through her energetic teaching style, high student involvement, and challenging, real-world problem-solving. Rachel builds strong connections with students, and she enjoys seeing them carry their knowledge into the next phase of their careers.

Research Interests

Rachel’s research focuses on two interrelated areas: female biology and work identities, and team diversity and collaboration. She is known for capturing women’s work experiences that intersect with unique biological needs, such as hormone-driven cognitive changes across the menstrual cycle and work-life identity changes throughout the IVF process. Her team research explores the impact of team diversity of success, including the role of female leadership on team members’ later success as leaders and team affective diversity on risk-taking outcomes. Her work has appeared in Human Resource Management.
