Student Success Coordinator

Tanner serves as the Student Success Coordinator for the College of Business Administration, where he supports new and early undergraduate and graduate students through advising, LEAD 1050 course instruction, and first-year transition programming. He coordinates first-year registration and transition activities, oversees Peer Advisors and course assistants, and advises undergraduate, MBA, and Accelerated Degree Program students. He also manages communications like the GSM Outlook Email, monitors graduate student progress and records, and contributes to retention initiatives and student-serving events. Prior to Marquette, Tanner worked in education policy and career advising with the Universities of Wisconsin System.

Professional Interests

Tanner’s professional interests include student retention and transition, leadership development, and higher education policy. He is especially focused on inclusive advising practices, experiential learning, and creating programs that promote belonging and student success.
