A national event, the Douglass Day Transcribe-a-Thon celebrates the life and legacy of abolitionist, orator, and author Frederick Douglass through collective transcription to make historical Black scholars’ and activists’ writings more accessible.
The 2025 transcribe-a-thon will occur Friday, February 14, with hands-on sessions held in Raynor Library and in the Lemonis Center for Student Success. Sign up today!

Are you a Marquette instructor or campus group leader? You are invited to incorporate transcribing into your class or group meeting during the week of February 14. Contact co-organizers by February 1 to make arrangements.
