Douglass Day Transcribe-A-Thon

A national event, the  Douglass Day Transcribe-a-Thon celebrates the life and legacy of abolitionist, orator, and author Frederick Douglass through collective transcription to make historical Black scholars’ and activists’ writings more accessible.

Plan to Participate February 14

The 2025 transcribe-a-thon will occur Friday, February 14, with hands-on sessions held in Raynor Library and in the Lemonis Center for Student Success. Sign up today!

  • 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Raynor Library, First Floor
  • 1:00-2:30 p.m., Lemonis Center for Student Success, Second Floor

This year's event will offer a chance to dig into the rich historical archives of Library of Congress's African American Perspectives Collection and to make finding and using them easier for all.
