The Commons consists of Eckstein Tower and Wells Street Hall on the west side of campus. These residence halls house both first and second year students and are co-ed by door. Each building comprises single and double room-types and have communal bathrooms on every floor. The building features a large dining hall and 24/7 security. Staff in each building include a Residence Hall Director, Hall Minister, Resident Assistants, and a Facilities Manager. Eckstein Tower also houses the Engineering Living Learning Community.

Eckstein Tower and Wells Street Hall, the newest residence halls on campus, together comprise The Commons. Having opened it August 2018, Eckstein and Wells house approximately 400 and 450 residents, respectively.
