Nuestro Hogar intends to be an inclusive and welcoming environment for all those who value the Latinx community, culture and identities. This is accomplished through participating in events and activities on the Marquette campus and in the surrounding Milwaukee communities.
Students who live in Nuestro Hogar Living-Learning Community:

To be eligible to live in Nuestro Hogar, you must be a native or heritage Spanish speaker, or have completed/placed out of or will be enrolled in Spanish 3001 in Fall 2023.
Straz Tower is a residence hall on the East side of campus which houses both first and second year students. It is co-ed by door. The building consists of single, double, and quad room-types and has 24/7 Security. The building has private bathrooms in each room. The building features 24/7 security, a dining hall, and Rec Plex fitness facility. Staff in the building include a Residence Hall Director, Hall Minister, Resident Assistants, and a Facilities Manager. Straz Tower is also home to both the Honors and Umoja Living Learning Communities.
To be part of this community, select Straz Tower as your building preference and Nuestro Hogar LLC as your preferred room type when you complete your housing preference online in CheckMarq.

All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis based upon availability within the community. If a space becomes available that you are eligible for, you will be notified via your Marquette email.
