Dr. Jay Pantone's research on superpermutations was highlighted in the articles "An Internet Commenter Asked One Innocent Question—and Accidentally Caused a Major Math Conundrum" in Popular Mechanics and "How Anime Fans Stumbled upon a Mathematical Proof" in Scientific American (featured in the 2025 "Ultimate Math" print edition).
Dr. Carl Mueller appeared on WTMJ's Wisconsin Morning News on Pi Day to talk about pi and pie.
Dr. Jay Pantone's participation in the FrontierMath LLM Benchmark, led by the non-profit Epoch AI, was covered in the news articles "At Secret Math Meeting, Researchers Struggle to Outsmart AI" in Scientific American (featured in the 2025 "Ultimate Math" print edition) and "Can ChatGPT Win a Fields Medal?" in the Financial Times.

Dr. Jay Pantone was interviewed by Quanta Magazine for the article "Mystery Math Whiz and Novelist Advance Permutation Problem" and interviewed by The Verge for the article "An anonymous 4chan post could help solve a 25-year-old math mystery" about his research into superpermutations.
