Diversity & Identity Abroad
You Are Marquette.
The Office of International Education is committed to supporting all student groups and social identities in pursuing an international experience throughout their Marquette academic career. We understand that there may be existing barriers to pursuing an international experience, so we aim to provide and connect you with resources to assist in planning your next steps and decision-making.
As we continue to learn more about diverse and various social identities, our office remains dedicated to continuous development of the Diversity & Identity website. By no means does this website include all relevant resources, recommendations, information for one group or identity. OIE strives to listen, understand, and expand international experiences for all Marquette students in a manner that will support your global experiential journey.
What are your identities?
We understand that certain populations of students may have specific concerns about studying abroad, and accordingly, have prepared some resources. While it is important for you to learn about the culture you will be entering, it is also important that you consider your own identity and how it might impact on your experience. Feel free to browse these resources.
Marquette University is an institutional member of the Diversity Abroad Network and our Education Abroad staff members have access to online resources that explore important issues around identity. You too can create a free account and begin exploring. Below are more resources that you may find helpful.
