Adult Group Lessons

These lessons are for adults 18 years and over who are looking to learn how to swim and become more comfortable in the water. The atmosphere is a relaxed and judgement-free environment for adults to learn water safety and stroke skills.

Parent Plus

This is a parent/child program for children 2 months to 2 years of age. These lessons encourage water adjustment skills and develop basic water and swimming skills.  Lessons are designed to create confidence and comfort in the water for the child. Non-toilet trained children are required to wear swim diapers. One parent/guardian will need to be in the water with their child.

LEVEL 1 Pre-School - Water Skills Introduction

This level is for children beginning to become independent in the water, commonly 3-6 years old. There is an emphasis on water safety, comfort and introducing beginner skills (submerging face, bobbing, front/back floats, kicking, arm strokes.)

LEVEL 2 Beginner - Essential Aquatic Skills

This level is for children who have previously been introduced to the water and are fairly comfortable with submerging and floating in the water, commonly 5-9 years old. Lessons are geared toward teaching coordinated practice of front crawl, back crawl, floats, glides and treading water.

LEVEL 3 Advanced Beginner - Stroke Development

Swimmers who have a basic understanding of the swimming skills taught at the beginner level will focus on building endurance and refined front and back crawl skills. Breaststroke and butterfly motions will be introduced, as well as sidestroke and elementary backstroke. Use of deep-water skills like treading water and simple dives will be taught. Commonly students are 7-12 years old.

LEVEL 4 Intermediate - Endurance and Refinement

Swimmers who understand and demonstrate the four main strokes and are able to swim in the deep water will focus on fully completing all strokes for longer distances in the pool. Age range is typically 7-12 years old.

LEVEL 5 Advanced - Pre-Swim Team

If the swimmer has completed the previous requirements in the intermediate level, then they will work on race-ready strokes and water skills. Flip turns, dives and underwater swimming will be added to their already-learned strokes. About 200-500 yards will be the endurance goal for this group. Common age range is 10-15 years of age.
