EVENT: Douglass Day Transcribe-a-Thon 2025

The Douglass Day Transcribe-a-Thon celebrates the life and legacy of abolitionist, orator, and author Frederick Douglass through collective transcription to make historical Black scholars’ and activists’ writings more accessible. Join us with hands-on sessions held in Raynor Library and in the Lemonis Center for Student Success.

EXHIBIT: Affirmation/Transformation

August 23 – December 21 | Online and Haggerty Museum

Cheeseheads, Swifties, Beatlemaniacs, Trekkies, Whovians, Potterheads, Beyhive, the Cenation, ARMY. People are fans of all sorts of things. But what makes someone a fan? Is there a difference between enjoying something and being a fan of that thing? Affirmation/Transformation considers “creation” as the line between casual enjoyment and fandom. Fans are not passive; fans create.

Library Receives $23,000 IMLS Grant
