One of the best parts of working at Marquette is working alongside Marquette students. Their insight, energy, and ideas continually help us strengthen our office policies and procedures while creating a positive, collaborative work environment. We are deeply grateful for their contributions and make a point to recognize their hard work—both formally and informally—throughout the year.
Each year, we hire more than 100 students to work with our program. Student employees are supported through comprehensive training and have access to a variety of leadership opportunities.
Most of our student employees serve as tutors. Tutors must meet specific requirements to be invited to interview. Once hired, tutors complete 10 hours of required training** through our nationally certified College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) program.
We also hire Office Assistants (OA). A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are the primary qualifications for this role. Students who are interested in leadership development may apply to become Student Supervisors.

We interview, train, and regularly review all student employees to ensure they have a meaningful and supportive work experience. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, we support students as they navigate their academic and personal growth—celebrating successes, working through challenges, and offering guidance along the way. It is truly a privilege to be part of their journey.
